Straight-through, uninterruptible flow. The Teflon wiping action across the ball reduces the build-up of particulate. Ball valves have a less wetted surface compared to poppet valves.
Body, stem, ball and end caps are made of 316L stainless steel. Fluoroelastomers are used to seal the stem from atmosphere. PTFE (Teflon) seals are used around the ball. Blow-out proof stem, full bore with internal surface give the valve extended life.
